Group Blogging Help |
| Access to post on a blog
is conferred through the principle of "ownership." A Talking
Justice administrator will assign one or more owners to each blog,
based upon a prior business agreement and approval. Any time more
than one person is assigned ownership of a blog, it becomes a group
publishing enterprise. If every owner will author and enter their own blog posts, then each can proceed as if he or she were the sole author by following procedures as described in the Blog Posting Help. If, however, some of the authors in a group published blog will not be posting their own material - more specifically, if you as a blog owner, will need to enter posts on behalf of other authors - the following procedures will prove invaluable. |
Impersonation |
| The Talking Justice
membership system supports impersonation. By impersonation, we
mean that a duly authorized user can assume, by selecting from a list,
the identity of another blog owner. Impersonation is a privilege
that can only be conferred by a Talking Justice administrator and the
list of authors any impersonator can impersonate is assigned by an
administrator, based upon prior business agreement and approval. |
| To establish
impersonation for your blog, contact the Talking Justice webmaster. |
| If you are a user to whom
Impersonation has been conferred, you will see an Impersonate link in the menu bar
any time you have logged in using your own credentials: |
| The resulting page will
display a list of users that you are authorized to impersonate: |
![]() |
| Click the Select link at the left of the name
of the user you wish to impersonate: |
![]() |
| The name becomes
highlighted. Then, click the Impersonate button: |
![]() |
| You will immediately be
taken back to Talking Justice. The difference, now, is that you
are logged in as the impersonated identity. This is demonstrated
by referring to the upper-right corner of the page: |
![]() |
| You can now enter a blog
post as this author and, when it is displayed, the post will bear the
correct authorship image and biography. To impersonate another user, you must sign out, unless the currently impersonated user is also an authorized impersonator. |
