I was reading the other abstinence-only education post, and noticed that it was filled with anti-abstinence only posts. So, I started a new post in which both sides will hopefully have more equality.
Isn't it the job of the parent's to teach their children about abstinence and contreceptives, and sex in general? If parents were okay with their children participating in sexual activity, then they would teach the child the options. It should not be up to the school to teach children about contreceptives, especially when there is a high chance that their parents do not want them participating in such an activity.
Basically, if parents were okay with the children having sex, they would teach them about ways to do it safely. Therefore, because so many are uneducated about methods of practicing safe sex, most parents do not want their kids practicing sex, and so the kids should not be educated about ways to do it safely in school.
