I think that religious freedom is an extremely important part of the Bill of Rights, and my life would be very different without the right to practice whichever religion I choose. I say that because I, as a Secular Humanist, do not follow any of the mainstream or generally known-about and accepted religions in America. Without freedom of expression I would be wrongly labeled as an atheist and an immoral sinner by many people. Though they still may consider me to be that, I have the right not to be discriminated against, which is a big deal. I do support the idea of un-led silence for prayer in schools, because students would be able to practice what they believe freely, like the Constitution says they should be allowed to do. And for any students who do not believe in prayer, wouldn't you like time to sit and think and not have to do any work for a while? For them it would be like having an extra break. Having this time could also encourage students to discuss their religious views with others, which would give them the opportunity to learn about others' beliefs, therefore encouraging diversity.
